Chief Thoma was invited by Senator Kim Ward to come out to the Rescue Fire Company in Dauphin County and witness Governer Corbett sign the Grant Program’s Extension. This program enables fire departments to apply and recieve grant money for a number of things that help Volunteer Fire Departments operate. The Bill not only extends the program for another 4 years, it increases its funding to $30 million where it used to be $25 million. Senator Ward sponsored this bill, ACVFD would like to thank Senator Ward, her collegues, Commissioner Ed Mann, and Governer Corbett for extending this program.
