Firefighters Had A Busy Thanksgiving Day

While Firefighters were celebrating everything they were thankful for, they were summoned for several reported fires. The day started with a working fire in an exterior wall on Rocky Mountain Rd, in our first due. The Station cleared for this and knocked down a small fire in a wall behind a chimney. While operating on Rocky Mountain Rd., the Rescue truck responded to the Super Value warehouse in Hempfield Twp. as the RIT for smoke in the structure. Later in the day the Engine and Quint responded to the Green Hills Trailer park for smoke in the trailer. Engine 10 provided ventilation as first arriving units found a mattress fire that was now out and a trailer charged with smoke. While on this incident the Quint responded to an AED assist in High Park’s first due with Rescue 61. To finish off the Thanksgiving holiday, the Station Cleared as we were requested as part of the upgraded alarm to the Comfort Inn in New Stanton for Smoke in the Structure. Units were cleared as a faulty heater was found to be the cause. Attached are some pictures of the incidents.
