Station 10 was activated to set up a Landing Zone for a LifeFlight Helicopter. Strawpump Rescue 2 was sent to an EMS assist just outside of the township and during the course of patient care the EMS unit decided helicopter transport was necessary. Chief 2 requested the A.C.V.F.D. activated as the closest landing zone option was the Elementary School. Chief 10 arrived and set up the LZ. Engine 10 and Rescue 2 provided firefighters to secure the area. The helicopter arrived and completed an assessment. Patient care was then transferred to the helicopter which lifted off without incident. All units were cleared by Chief 10.
