Crash with Entrapment Penn Manor Rd.
Station 10 and Rescue 2 were dispatched to Penn Manor Road for a reported Crash with Entrapment. Chief 10 arrived to find a single vehicle on its side with confinement. Rescue 10 arrived and was assigned Stabilization. Rescue 10 put the struts and cribbing into service to complete that task. Rescue 2 was assigned patient access and removed the windshield and rear window to gain access to the patient. (more…)
Rubbish Fire Next to a House
Quint 10 was dispatched to the above location assisting High Park with a Rubbish Fire Extending into a House. The Service towing the trailer, Squad, and Engine were already on the road returning from another incident and immediately headed up to the fire. (more…)
Bus Rescue Class
The Firefighters from our station and the surrounding areas participated in a weekend of Training. Instructor Dortenzo made the trip to Adamsburg to instruct the firefighters on vehicle rescue involving Mass Transit Buses. Attached are some pictures that show the challenges and differences involved with rescuing trapped occupants from School and Mass Transit buses along with Large Vans. (more…)
