ATV Operations Class
This past weekend Members of Adamsburg, High Park VFD, and Rescue 14 participated in an ATV operations class. Firefighters trained and tested on our quad and UTV in the 32 degree weather with mild snow conditions. Out and About in the Community
Throughout the last month the Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department has had the opportunity to interact with the community several times! ACVFD provided Fire Prevention Programs at West Hempfield Elementary School and West Hempfield Presbyterian Church Preschool. We have also participated in Halloween Parades in Greenridge, Rolling Hills and Arona Borough. The volunteers also patrolled during the Hempfield Townships halloween trick or treat hours helping to make sure everyone was safe! As firefighters, we often meet people at the worst times in their lives, the past events have given us the opportunity in a more fun and interactive way. We appreciate the invitations to these opportunities.
Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week starts October 9th. This week is a great time to review home evacuation plans, stop drop and roll, and check your smoke detectors! Adamsburg VFD will be attending the Hempfield – Greensburg Fire Prevention Day, please stop out at the Westmoreland Mall and see us and other area Fire Departments.
