Quint 10 was activated to respond into Strawpump Station 2 District (first due) for reported smoke in the structure. Chief 10 arrived and was informed that work was done to the furnace during the previous day. Quint 10 was sent to the front and Engine 3 to the rear to ladder the roof and investigate roof top air handlers. Rescue 2 arrived on scene and ordered Quint 10 to ladder the roof to assist with investigation of roof top air handlers. Rescue 2 crews investigated inside equipment for a possible source. The problem appears to have been caused by an issue with maintenance that was performed earlier on the furnace, there was no fire.
