Quint 10 responded into Station 2 Strawpumps district for a residential fire alarm. Chief 2 was already on scene and reported a two story structure with no smoke showing. Quint 10 pulled on scene and was given orders for the mask men to report to Rescue 2 for assignments. Upon an exterior search assistant 2-1 discovered smoke inside the structure. At this point assistant 2-1 gained entry into the rear of the residence while Quint 10 crew gained entry thru the front door. After searching the house, assistant 2-1 reached the kitchen to find a pot was left on the stove and the burner was still on. Crews shut off the stove and removed the pan from the residence and did a bottom to top search of the remainder of the residence to check for any patients.
