Location: Route 30, Hempfield Township
Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist High Park VFD, Rescue 61, with a vehicle collision with entrapment. Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle collision involving a car into a utility pole. The occupant of the vehicle was entrapped in the vehicle for approx a 1/2 hour while rescue crews carefully used the “Jaws of Life” to disentangle the driver from the vehicle.
While Rescue 10’s crew assisted in extricating the driver of the vehicle, Engine 10 reported to the landing Zone to assist with air medical evacuation of the driver to a trauma center in Pittsburgh.
