Engine and Rescue Welcome A Local Soldier Home
Friday the ACVFD was asked to help welcome home a soldier. The Engine and Rescue met Andrea Koeberle as she and the 2 Million Bikers to D.C. organization exited the Turnpike at the Irwin Interchange and helped escort her to her home in our First Due. In the process of doing so surprised we helped Andrea surprise her family with an early return from active duty. Attached are a few pictures of the event. (more…)
Rt. 136 Vehicle Into a House
Station 10 and the first alarm assignment were sent to the Darragh section of Hempfield Twp, for a reported explosion in a house with a smell of fuel oil. Chief 10 arrived with Engine 15 to find that a hit and run had occurred, not an explosion, and that there was moderate damage to the house. (more…)
