Station 10 was dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment for the reported Smell of Smoke in the building at the First Niagara Bank in Strawpumps first due. Chief 10 arrived to find that the issue may be related to an earlier cooking issue. Chief 10 asked for the first engine to proceed into the scene to investigate. Quint 10 arrived and took this assignment and set up on the delta side of the structure. Truck 8 arrived next, command had the truck set up on the A and D corner. Crews from 10 and 8 investigated and confirmed that the source was a left over smell from the earlier issue. Chief 2 arrived and after assessing the issue cleared all units.<\/p>\n

The Quint, Service, and Engine responded on this.<\/p>\n

Shortly after this incident the assignment was sent to the Applebees for a fire alarm assisting Strawpump. Chief 10 arrived to find a restaurant with nothing evident. Quint 10 was ordered into the scene and to hold its crew at the truck. Investigations found an errant alarm transmission. Chief 2 then cleared all units.<\/p>\n
