Location: Route 819, Hempfield Township
Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire. ACVFD responded with Fort Allen VFD to assist with RIT (Rapid Intervention). RIT is established on working fires and allows for a specific group of fire fighters to be on scene in case a problem arises with another fire fighter. These fire fighters do not participate with fire fighting activities, only if there is an emergency on scene involving a fire fighter. ACVFD and Fort Allen VFD stood by without incident.
