Landing Zone At West Hempfield Elementary School

Station 10 was activated to set up a Landing Zone for a LifeFlight Helicopter. Strawpump Rescue 2 was sent to an EMS assist just outside of the township and during the course of patient care the EMS unit decided helicopter transport was necessary. Chief 2 requested the A.C.V.F.D. activated as the closest landing zone option was the Elementary School. Chief 10 arrived and set up the LZ. (more…)

Arona Rd. Traffic Collision

Station 10 was activated to respond to Arona Rd. at Beeno Rd. for a multiple vehicle crash. Medic 324 arrived to find 2 vehicles with injuries and fluids on the roadway. Chief 10 arrived and assigned Rescue 10 to assist EMS with patient care, traffic control, and fluid containment. (more…)

With a heavy heart, the Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department is announcing the passing of one of our own. Michael Lupinacci has lost a hard fought battle with cancer. Mike was a past President and past Assistant Chief and has held several other roles within the fire department throughout the years. Along with the fire service, Mike served in several capacities within the Westmoreland and Allegheny County Emergency Dispatch Centers, as the Police Chief for Lincoln Borough, and as a member of Rescue 14 E.M.S.

Whigham RD Barn Fire

Quint 10 was activated and arrived first due in Fort Allen (104’s District) for a Working Barn Fire. Engine 10, Rescue 10, and Service 10 responded in to assist with operations. Quint 10 supplied two hand lines, Engine 10 supplied Engine 104 and Engine 61. Chief 10 handled tanker operations due to a lack of fire Hydrants near by. Responding Units included E104,E112,E61,R61,F21,E21,T14,T19,T74,T75, The Township Special Equipment, Station 320 and Support 610.
