Location: Asphalt Lane, Hempfield Township 

Manor VFD and Irwin VFD assisted Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department with multiple school buses on fire at a bus garage.  While Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department was onscene of a residential structure fire on Wendel Road 911 reported a second fire with explosion at a bus garage in Hempfield Township.  Manor VFD and Irwin VFD, which was on standby for ACVFD, responded and found 2 school buses and 2 coach buses fully involved with fire.  Fire was extinguished by Manor VFD and Irwin VFD. 10-0257 :: Residential Structure fire

Incident # 10-0257
Date: 07-18-2010
Location: Wendel Road, Hempfield Township 

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported residential Structure fire on Wendel Road at approximately 2:00 am.  Upon arrival of the first engine company ,Engine 15 (Hermine VFD), they found a two story residential structure with fire in the first and second story.  It was immediately determined the house was vacant, so a defensive stance was taken.  The two neighboring residences were close to the structure so intial priority was to keep the fire from spreading and damaging the neighboring structures.  Minor water damage occurred to the neighboring structures.
