09-0345 :: Motor Vehicle Collision

Location: Monkey Wrench Road, Hempfield Township

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on Monkey Wrench Road. Initial Dispatch reported one patient hanging out the window of the vehicle. Upon arrival found one patient still inside a vehicle that had driven into a ditch along the side of the road, ACVFD Firefighters assisted EMS in extricating the patient from the vehicle.

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded assisting Strawpump Volunteer Fire Department on a Motor Vehicle Collision with injuries on Barnes Lake Road.  Upon arrival found one vehicle that had rolled over multiple times, and one injury.  (more…)

TRAINING :: Rope Rescue and Rigging

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department along with Penn Township Ambulance and North Huntingdon Rescue 8 participated in a rope rescue and rigging class.  This skill allows rescuers to rescue patients that may be below grade and need “hauled” or lifted to a higher elevation.  (more…)

Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire with reports of one person burned.  Upon arrival of EMS conformation of one patient on scene burned while attempting to use gasoline to start the fire.  GASOLINE SHOULD NEVER BE USED TO START A FIRE OR KEEP A FIRE GOING.  ACVFD reminds you that gasoline is highly flammable and unpredictible when used near an open flame.  The fumes alone from gasoline can ignite without warning, and cause serious injury or death.  (more…)
