Protectors of the West Side
Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Westmoreland County Community College with a special class dealing with Bus Rescues. Students learned how to handle special situations that may arise when dealing with a bus that is involved in an incident.
Adamsburg and Community Volunteer Fire Department Participated in a fire department showcase at Westmoreland Mall on Route 30 in Hempfield Township. Quint 10 and Rescue 10 was on display for spectators to see. ACVFD Firefighters set up a stokes basket at the end of the ladder on Quint 10 to show spectators how someone would be rescued from an elevated position. Their was also a rescue demonstration performed by the township fire departments, police demonstrations, water rescue teams, the burn and fire safety house, and a large amount of fire apparatus on site to be seen.
